What are you doing to keep my family safe from illness?

We take the health and safety of your family and our staff very seriously. At check-in every day, all students must pass a health screening questionnaire (and temperature checks during times of high community spread). We undergo daily sanitization of the facility and materials. As always, hand-washing is a significant focus—especially upon entry, between activities, and before leaving. Our staff remains up-to-date on vaccinations thanks to an education campaign and incentives, and masks are worn during times of high illness spread or in case of any exposures inside the school. Our ventilation system is also set to push fresh air through the building constantly and HEPA-grade air filters are running in every room to further lower the risks of transmission from droplets and aerosols. Check our covid policy page for information.

What are Le Soleil's hours of operation?
How do I pronounce "Le Soleil?"

Le Soleil is open and available Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with early drop-off available for those who need it (between 7am and 8am). We do not offer half-day programming, though you are free to pick up at any time. Please drop off preschoolers by 8:45am.

How much does it cost to send my child to Le Soleil each month?

We do our best to balance accessibility for as many families as possible with a deep commitment to providing teachers with good, living wages and benefits such as health insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and paid vacation.

A child's age group is determined by developmental milestones. Learn more on the Our Mission and Approach page.

*Tuition, fees, and deposits are non-refundable.

"Luh So-lay." Hear it aloud on this video.

How do I schedule a tour?

It's easy! Private tours are available several times a week during our students' outdoor play time, and can be booked by clicking here and paying the deposit to reserve a time ($20 of the $25 is refundable). There's a video tour available on that page, too!

For the safety of our school community, Le Soleil requires that our students be up-to-date on the Idaho immunization schedule. We do not accept exemptions to this policy except in cases where there is a specific medical reason that a certain vaccine cannot be taken, which must be verified by a licensed physician.

Where is Le Soleil?

302 West Idaho Street, on the edge of Downtown Boise.

How does my family join Le Soleil's program?

Simply visit the "Enrollment" link at the bottom of the page, fill out the form, and submit payment of one lottery fee per child. Within a week, you'll get an email with confirmation that you're in our lottery waitlist pool along with more details about what that entails! You'll also be added to the informational email list for regular updates.

What is a diaper subscription?

For families of diapering children who don't want to have to worry about remembering when to bring another case of diapers and wipes to school, Le Soleil offers an exclusive diaper subscription program. This subscription adds a fixed fee to your monthly tuition based on your child's schedule and in return Le Soleil provides unlimited quality, compostable diapers (in the appropriate size for your child, so you don't have to worry about growing out of a size before you run out) AND unlimited eco-friendly wipes for you while your child is in our care.

Is there a dress code?

All students need to come in comfortable, labeled, weather-appropriate clothing.

Our preschoolers wear uniform tops or dresses every day but Friday, which helps encourage focus on the work and play at hand. Appropriate bottoms include pants or shorts and closed-toed shoes.

See our Uniforms page for sizing and styles.

What is date night?

Once a month, students in our oldest (preschool) age group are invited to spend a Friday evening from 6-9pm at school to eat dinner, change into PJs, brush their teeth, and watch a French-language children's movie! It's a great opportunity for them to spend more social time in a special setting with friends and for the adults at home to spend a relaxing evening together.

We don't have a kitchen on-site, so ask that families provide lunch for their children. In order to make that process easier, we give each family a quality, insulated lunchbox as part of their enrollment. This lunchbox has separate insulated compartments that let you pack hot or cold foods for your little one that will still be delicious by lunch. Enrolled families can order backup lunchboxes below retail price directly from us. If a child enrolls with severe allergies, we may limit what can be sent for lunch.

We provide healthy, adventurous afternoon snacks as part of tuition, and our preschoolers serve themselves to build confidence and competence.
